How to Correctly Install and Debug Video Measuring Instrument

Video measuring instrument is a precision and efficient measuring instrument integrated in optics, precision machinery, electronic and computer. It is a high-precision and high-efficiency video measurement system composed of high-resolution industrial-grade color CCD, continuously variable magnification objective lens, computer, precision optical ruler, high-precision workbench and measurement software.

The accuracy and stability of the video measuring instrument are directly related to production efficiency and product quality. So how do we correctly install and debug the video measuring instrument?

 

Preparation before installation:

The installation environment

As a precision measuring instrument, the video measuring instrument has specific requirements for the installation environment:

Temperature requirement: 20℃±4℃;

Humidity requirement: relative humidity of air: 25-75%;

Voltage requirement: voltage: AC 220V±10%;

Frequency: 50/60Hz;

Current: 15A;

Independent dedicated grounding wire: grounding resistance ≤5Ω;

No vibration source around;

Ensure that the indoor light does not produce obvious shadows and reflections;

In a laboratory environment or a low-dust working environment.

Equipment integrity check

Before installation and debugging, check whether the equipment is intact?

Check whether the transport fixtures of each axis of the equipment are removed?

Check whether the equipment foot cup is fixed?

Check whether the movement of each axis of the equipment is normal?

Training operator confirmation

The operator of the video measuring instrument is the key person to control the quality of your product who must pass professional training before operating the machine alone. Untrained or unqualified personnel will greatly reduce the product qualification rate during the quality control process; it will also greatly increase the probability of equipment failure and loss caused by human operation.

 

Installation precautions :

Machine placement: The left and right sides and back of the equipment should be 200mm away from the wall or other obstacles to facilitate subsequent maintenance and upkeep of the equipment;

Machine level adjustment: Ensure that the machine workbench is in a horizontal position and fix the machine foot cup to improve measurement accuracy and stability;

Software installation and configuration: Install the corresponding measurement software according to the equipment model. When configuring the software, ensure that the communication between the computer and the video measuring instrument is smooth. In addition, to ensure data security, the user permissions and data backup functions of the software should also be set;

 

Debugging equipment part:

Camera calibration: To ensure the accuracy of measurement, the camera of the video measuring instrument needs to be calibrated.

Tool and probe calibration: The video measuring instrument has a variety of probes and tools to be chose, such as contact probes, non-contact probes, etc. Select the appropriate probe and tool as needed and calibrate them. This step ensures the stability and accuracy of the measurement.

Accuracy detection and adjustment: Accuracy detection is performed through a standard glass linear ruler to check whether the repeatability and accuracy of the equipment meet the expected requirements. If the error is found to exceed the standard, the equipment needs to be fine-tuned until the accuracy requirements are met.

Software function test: Comprehensively test the various functions of the video measuring instrument software, such as automatic recognition, measurement, analysis, etc. Ensure that the software runs smoothly without lag or errors.

Operation training provides training for operators who use video measuring instruments to ensure that they are proficient in the equipment's operating procedures, safety precautions and maintenance methods. Through training, operators can better use the equipment for production activities and improve production efficiency and product quality.
