With the continuous development of the manufacturing industry and the vigorous rise of automation, more and more products have higher requirements for accuracy, and quality control management is becoming increasingly strict. As a high-precision measurement equipment, image measuring instruments have become one of the indispensable tools in the current automated manufacturing industry. If there is a deviation in the accuracy and size of the product, and the quality does not meet the requirements, it may have serious consequences. For example, if there is a deviation in the size of a certain part on a car, it may lead to accidents of vehicle damage and human death; The size of an electronic component in a battery is too small or too large, which may cause a risk of battery short circuit and explosion; Therefore, the accuracy and quality of the product are extremely crucial.

There are a variety of products, ranging in size from a few millimeters to several meters. How do we choose the measurement stroke of an image measuring instrument to meet the measurement needs of our products? Let's learn about image measuring instruments from the following categories.

In terms of product measurement size classification, we have standard measurement trips of 100 * 100、200 * 100、300 * 200、400 * 300、500 * 400、600 * 500、800 * 600、1000 * 800、1200 * 1000、1500 * 1200、2500 * 1500, etc. Non standard trips can be customized according to the actual needs of customers; From the level of automation, it can be divided into: manual, semi-automatic, and automatic; In terms of measurement functions, it can be divided into: image non-contact, probe contact, and laser non-contact; From the measurement dimension, it can be divided into two dimensions: two-dimensional and three-dimensional; From the perspective of equipment structure, it can be divided into cantilever type, bridge type, and gantry type structures.

How can customers accurately choose the desired equipment that meets the needs of measurement products and is cost-effective among the various classifications mentioned above? We can follow the following steps:

Step 1: Select the machine stroke based on the maximum size product produced by oneself. If the maximum product size produced is 100mm, equipment with a stroke of 100 * 100mm can be selected. If the maximum product size is 200mm, equipment with a stroke of 200 * 100mm or 300 * 200mm can be selected; If there are special size requirements, we can make professional customization according to the actual situation;

Step 2: Select the measurement method based on the material of the product. Image measuring instruments have a wide range of applications, mostly in mechanical, electronic, mold, plastic, hardware, die-cutting, electrical appliances, mobile phones, home appliances, circuit boards, automobiles, etc; If measuring two-dimensional dimensions, such as points, lines, circles, arcs, distances, angles, perimeters, etc., non-contact imaging measurement can be chosen; If you need to measure the three-dimensional dimensions of height, depth, and other parts, you can choose probe contact measurement or laser non-contact measurement; The material of the product is relatively soft, so you can choose non-contact measurement with imaging or laser, otherwise you can choose contact measurement with imaging or probe;

Step 3: Select the machine configuration based on the number of products tested. If conducting spot checks on products, manual or semi-automatic equipment can be selected; If the product is fully inspected and the number of tests is large, fully automatic image measurement can be chosen; If you want to reduce labor costs, you can add loading and unloading equipment on top of the fully automatic image measuring instrument to achieve fully automatic loading and unloading and automatic sorting of OK/NG products.
